Bournville Junior School
Headteacher's Welcome

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Bournville Junior School.

Our school was founded in 1906 as a personal gift of George Cadbury to complete the village of Bournville. George Cadbury specified that the school should provide education of the highest quality in an ethos which was forward looking and tolerant.

At Bournville Junior School we continue to cherish George Cadbury's vision. We are proud of the reputation the school has for high standards of achievement in teaching and learning, and for providing a caring and purposeful environment, in which the individual needs and abilities of each child are recognised. In our last OFSTED Report our school was acknowledged as "being an excellent school providing very good value for money."

This academic year we are celebrating our school centenary.

The success of our school depends on all those who make a contribution to it, governors, parents, children and staff all working together in partnership for the good of the school.

I hope that this website will give you an insight into our work and what we have to offer, as well as the 'special character' of Bournville Junior School.

If you have any further questions please contact me or your child's class teacher.

With very best wishes,

Susan Barratt
